Hi all. Here are a few more pictures of our kiddos. Maggie is doing great and is growing. She's wearing one of her preemie outfits in the pictures below and you can see that they fit her very well. Jacob is a busy body...always into something and usually making some kind of mess...but, we have a good time together.
Hi everyone. Below are some new pictures of the family. Things are going very well here. Maggie seems to be doing a little better at night and Brent has been very helpful by staying up with her some so I can sleep. Jacob is also doing well and often wants "baby hand"...which means he wants to hold Maggie. Jacob is also saying & learning new things daily. He can already recognize several letters from the alphabet and has surprised us by calling out letters from billboard signs while we are driving. He's our little smarty pants!
Well, it was last minute and low-key due to the arrival of Maggie, but we were able to celebrate Jacob turning 2 yesterday. He had a wonderful time eating his Elmo cake and opening lots of presents.
Margaret "Maggie" Linley Shelton was born on Wednesday, January 9th at 4:44 p.m. She weighed in at 5 lbs, 12 ounces and 19 inches long. We are very blessed!
This first picture shows me at 37-38 weeks pregnant...only a few more days to go! You'll also see Jacob's first adventure into my high heels and purses. He just went into my closet the other night and emerged looking like he was ready to head off to work. We had a good time watching him play with his purses and shoes. The last picture is of Jacob and Brent as we were heading out in the freezing cold to go visit family.
Here are some more pictures of us on Christmas day. You'll see Brent opening up his cuff links, me putting in my new diamond earrings (!!!), and Jacob playing on his new slide from Nana and Pop. Jacob also loved Wesley's new ball pit. The last picture is our official Christmas day family picture.
Here are just a few pictures of Jacob opening his presents on Christmas morning. He was very into unwrapping the gifts and had a really good time playing with his new toys. I can only get five pictures to a post so more to come soon!
We were in Alabama this past weekend for Christmas with my family. Unfortunately, I forgot the memory card to my camera. However, below are some shots of Jacob playing with his new basketball goal from uncle John. He really likes it! You'll also see him feeding himself some oatmeal and the first "official" taste of something with peanut butter in it. (He took a few bites and then gave up.) He may not like peanut butter after all.
Jacob loves jelly! Why wouldn't he, it's nothing but sugar and fruit! He typically turns is toast jelly side up and licks the jelly right off, causing the mess you see below. You'll also see Jacob and Wesley hanging with Aunt Amy. The last two pics are of me at my baby shower that our church threw for me and then again at 34 weeks pregnant (showing off a swollen face...) Enjoy!
On November 28th, Jacob had a minor outpatient procedure to correct his tongue-tie. Below you'll see him playing in some toys while waiting to go back to surgery and then eating a big meal after we got home. He did really well with the entire procedure. You'll also see him sporting a very handsome outfit and then playing around with some super-sexy sunglasses.
